When a nation’s statistics rise like smoke on paper, yet its people sink in the mud of hunger, that is not progress, it is deception dressed as development. The picture of a starving child beneath an ascending graph, as George O. Sylvester once captured, defines Nigeria today under Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, a nation that celebrates polished poverty while its citizens perish in silence.

What we are witnessing is not governance, it is a grand charade of arithmetic cruelty, where economic figures are inflated to sedate the masses while markets empty their shelves of affordability. The APC has built a golden shrine of lies, offering false hope to a population gasping for breath under the weight of hunger, inflation, and despair.

Tinubu’s so-called renewed hope has renewed hunger. His proclaimed reforms have reformed poverty into a permanent resident in every home. His remarkable impact has been to subject the poor to starvation while he revels in opulence. The state pardon granted to convicted drug barons, murderers, and criminals mirrors the moral rot at the heart of his administration. It is not mercy, it is complicity. It is not forgiveness, but fellowship among the corrupt.

Under APC rule, Nigeria is no longer a country, it is a corridor of contradictions. The leaders dine on imported luxury while the masses struggle for crumbs. They trumpet GDP growth, yet markets bleed with the price of garri, rice, and beans. They boast of fiscal discipline while workers beg for wages that can no longer buy a week’s meal. They claim stability while insecurity reigns supreme. What Tinubu calls progress is nothing but the polished poverty of statistics, a digital illusion designed to mask a national tragedy.

But amid this darkness, there stands one man, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and one party, the African Democratic Congress, as the true symbols of conscience and competence. Atiku is not merely a politician, he is a statesman with a tested vision for economic reconstruction. He understands that no nation grows when its people starve, and no economy thrives where insecurity reigns.

Atiku’s blueprint has never been about propaganda, it is about productivity. While Tinubu and APC chase shadows of self-enrichment, Atiku represents the substance of national rebirth, a vision anchored on industrialisation, job creation, youth empowerment, and regional harmony. His economic insight transcends politics, it is a rescue mission for a collapsing nation.

Under Atiku and ADC, Nigeria will not be a laboratory of lies where figures rise but lives fall. It will be a living nation where policies breathe with the people’s reality, where governance is not an art of deception but an architecture of deliverance. Atiku understands that the greatest asset of any nation is not its oil or its statistics, but its people, and that governance must begin and end with their welfare.

The APC government has weaponised hunger while Atiku seeks to humanise governance. The APC has turned leadership into theatre while Atiku intends to return it to service. The APC celebrates illusion while Atiku stands for illumination.

As the hunger in Nigeria grows louder than its statistics, one truth emerges with thunderous clarity, the Tinubu era is a betrayal of hope, a monumental failure written in the tears of the masses. The only redemption lies in Atiku Abubakar and the ADC, the moral alternative, the economic salvation, the people’s covenant.

For what Nigeria needs is not more slogans but sincerity, not more figures but food, not more promises but purpose. Atiku is the bridge between the dream of the nation and the dignity of its people. His leadership will not polish poverty, it will end it. His governance will not mask statistics, it will make them human.
